About Playcast

Playcast Media Systems brings video games to the world's largest media distribution platform - Pay TV networks. The company's solution brings off-the-shelf next generation video games to the existing cable, IPTV and hybrid DBS platforms. Playcast's streaming solution is installed in operators headends, and stream the audio visual content as standard MPEG video over the existing video network to the existing set-top boxes. In technical terms, we bring cloud gaming to hundreds of millions of paying TV subscribers, all across the world, which consumes ever increasing entertainment through "legacy" TV networks.

The high quality of the user experience through Playcast's service has been proven at large scale deployments over live networks in Europe and in Asia, and with a variety of game genres.

Playcast's service is packaged as a TV channel, which includes the complete server side system, content and programming. With the Playcast service, Digital TV Service operators offers users a titles catalogue, which includes titles from the world's major game publishers, as an all-you-can-play for an affordable monthly subscription.

Playcast Media Systems Ltd. is an Israeli privately held company, with operations in seven Western European markets, Singapore, Korea, China, Brazil and the US. The company launched Europe's first "Cloud Gaming" service in Portugal in 2010, and Asia's first service in Singapore in 2011. The company is scheduled to roll out this year two additional major European markets, and one major Asian market.

In 2010, the company received financial backing from JVP, Israel's leading venture capital firm, and from MK capital, a US based venture firm specializing in Digital Media.
