Role

  • Platforms and client validation of the next generation Cloud Gaming platform

Required background

  • 4-5 years' experience in software testing (client and server side)
  • Proven experience in testing Android, Linux and Windows based applications
  • Proven experience in digital video playback and/or streaming validation
  • Experience with scripting (Shell/Bash/Batch/similar) and/or basic programming skills
  • Solid understanding in network protocols (UDP/TCP etc.)

SW Development Manager


Background

Playcast brings high-end video games to the world's largest TV media distribution platforms. We are looking for a SW Development Manager to lead a team of ~6 SW developers (may expand in the future). The team is responsible for system development ranging from Games Streaming Servers, Cloud Management System, and Games integration. This is a senior management role in the R&D and requires both managerial and technical skills.



Role

  • Manage and track day-to-day tasks of the team, aligned with R&D priorities
  • Drive SW development and work closely with QA on release
  • Lead the team in a high-pace start-up environment
  • Guide team members on technical topics
  • Facilitate technical decision making
  • Take active role in design and coding



Required background

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science (Technion, Tel Aviv University, Jerusalem University, etc.). Advantage to M.Sc. in Computer Science
  • 3-5 years' experience in managing SW development team
  • Project management skills - task allocation and tracking, flag raising, managing schedules and dependencies

Support Engineer


Background

Playcast brings high-end video games to the world's largest TV media distribution platforms. We are looking for a technical support engineer to be responsible for maintenance and support of the company's streaming & management infrastructure. The position requires diverse set of skills & experience with Windows operating system, network architecture and equipment, internet protocols and a variety of hardware. The position requires the ability to configure and install systems in production environments and solve problems through analysis and deep understanding of Playcast's service.



Role

  • Installation of production environment at customer's site according to business and engineering requirements
  • Adequate technical expertise to troubleshoot problems raised by customers
  • Provide on-going support for R&D and Professional Services staff during investigations related to customer's environment
  • Overall responsibility for Playcast infrastructure (Servers, Connectivity, Storage)
  • Support pre-sale activities



Background & Experience

  • 3 years of experience as MCSE working closely with development and support teams
  • Experience with customer-facing, working directly with customers
  • Experience with setting up servers and SW in a production environment
  • Computer assembly and maintenance
  • Experience with installing/configuring/setting Windows OS (Win7, Win Server 2008), SQL database, IIS, VMware
  • Excellent understanding of the technical IP fundamentals with a solid knowledge of internet protocols such as HTTP, TCP UDP, as well as the ability to use diagnostic network tools
  • Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP)
  • Experience with network analysis
  • IP addressing and subnet, routing concepts
  • Working knowledge of IIS Server, DHCP Server, DNS Server
